Support and Applications
Tees Valley Tennis Foundation supports young people aged 8–18 where cost is a barrier to taking part in tennis or padel.
This page is where we share current and future support opportunities.
Tennis World Summer Camp Support
Applications for TVTF's first summer camp support pilot with Tennis World & Middlesbrough Padel Club have now closed.
The application deadline was the end of Sunday 12 July 2026.
The pilot offered a limited number of funded summer camp day places for young people aged 8-16 who may otherwise have struggled with the cost of attending.
Support was available for one funded summer camp day place per successful applicant and included tennis, padel and food on the day.
Children did not need to be Tennis World members or existing tennis or padel players to apply.
This pilot is part of TVTF's early work to support young people where cost may otherwise prevent them from accessing tennis and padel opportunities.
Future support opportunities will be published on this page when they are ready to open.
Who We Support
TVTF exists to support young people who:
- are aged 8–18;
- live at a TS postcode address, or meet any additional geographical eligibility criteria stated or a particular support opportunity;
- take part in, or would like to take part in, tennis or padel; and
- face a financial barrier that may prevent them from starting, continuing or progressing in the sport.
Individual support opportunities may have additional eligibility criteria, depending on the activity, available funding and any relevant delivery arrangements. For example, a particular opportunity may be restricted to a narrower age group where this is required by the activity provider.
Looking for Help With Tennis or Padel Costs?
Financial barriers can affect young players in different ways. These may include the cost of coaching, equipment, competition entry fees, travel, accommodation or other reasonable participation-related costs.
Where no suitable funded opportunity is currently open, parents or guardians are welcome to contact us about a financial barrier affecting a young person’s participation in tennis or padel.
We cannot promise that funding will be available, but these enquiries can help us understand local need and shape future support opportunities.
Please note that contacting us through this route is not a formal application for funding.
Please do not send sensitive financial information or supporting documents by email. We will explain any next steps and request further information only where necessary.
How Applications Will Work
When a support opportunity is open, this page will explain:
- what support is available;
- who can apply;
- how to submit an application;
- any relevant dates or conditions; and
- how applications will be assessed.
Applications involving a child or young person will normally need to be submitted by a parent or guardian.
Applications will be assessed by TVTF in line with the criteria for each opportunity and the charity’s grant-making arrangements. Decisions will take account of the relevant eligibility criteria, the financial barrier described, the purpose of the support and the funding or places available.
Submitting an application does not guarantee that funding or a supported place will be offered.
Future Support
As funding becomes available, TVTF aims to develop further opportunities to help eligible young people start, continue or progress in tennis and padel.
Depending on the purpose of each opportunity, support may include help with coaching, equipment, competition entry fees, travel, accommodation or other reasonable participation-related costs.
Details of future support opportunities will be published on this page when they are ready to open.
