Direct Tennis backs Tees Valley Tennis Foundation
Tees Valley Tennis Foundation is pleased to welcome Direct Tennis, part of Direct Sports, as a supporter of the charity.
Based at Wynyard Business Park in Stockton, Direct Tennis is a specialist tennis retailer supplying rackets, footwear, clothing and equipment to players across the UK. Its local operation also offers Click & Collect and racket restringing services.
The relationship gives TVTF access to specialist tennis expertise when equipment needs arise through our support work, while Direct Tennis will also help raise awareness of the Foundation among players, families and others already involved in the sport.
TVTF supports young people aged 8–18 who face financial barriers to starting, continuing or progressing in tennis or padel. Support is considered on a case-by-case basis and may include help with coaching or participation costs, equipment, competition fees, travel and other reasonable costs.
Phil Lowe, Chair of Tees Valley Tennis Foundation, said: "It is great to have the support of a specialist tennis business based here in the Tees Valley. Direct Tennis understands the sport, the equipment involved and the practical barriers some young people in our region can face.
“Their support will help us both practically and by raising awareness of the Foundation, and we're very grateful to have them involved as TVTF continues to grow.”
The relationship forms part of TVTF's wider effort to build a strong network of local and national supporters who can help remove practical barriers and create more opportunities for young people across the Tees Valley.
