Tees Valley Tennis Foundation officially registered

We’re delighted to announce that the Tees Valley Tennis Foundation is now a registered charity.

Our goal is to support young tennis and padel players across the Tees Valley and the surrounding area - including both those already playing and those looking to take their first steps in the sport.

Coaching, equipment and tournament travel costs can quickly add up, and too often that becomes the difference between continuing and giving up.

As Phil Lowe, our Chair of Trustees, explains: "We want to give talented local players a genuine chance to see how far their ability can take them. For some families, the financial side of competitive tennis is simply too heavy a burden - that’s where we’ll be looking to help."

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll begin seeking funding and setting out how families and coaches can apply for support. We are not currently accepting applications, but aim to start offering assistance to young players aged 8–18 from summer 2026.

This is just the beginning, but we’re proud to take this first official step and look forward to helping the next generation of players reach their potential.

The Foundation’s Trustees — Phil, Lisa and Ben — would like to thank everyone who has supported us in getting to this point.

If you would like to support the Foundation’s work, donations can now be made securely via our Support page.
