TVTF Begins Autumn Support for Young Players
Tees Valley Tennis Foundation has begun supporting young people into regular tennis and padel activity this autumn.
The support is helping with participation costs where cost may otherwise be a barrier to a young person starting, continuing or progressing in the sport.
For some young people and families, even regular weekly sessions can become difficult to manage once coaching fees, equipment, suitable kit or travel costs are taken into account. TVTF exists to help reduce those barriers where support can make a practical difference.
TVTF support is focused on practical costs linked to tennis and padel participation. This may include help with coaching or activity fees, essential equipment, suitable kit, competition or event entry fees, travel linked to participation, or other reasonable costs connected to tennis or padel.
Support is not based on playing ability, ranking or performance. Applications are considered by the trustees based on need, available funds and the likely impact of the support.
The autumn support follows TVTF’s first summer camp support pilot with Tennis World & Middlesbrough Padel Club, which helped the Foundation begin its work supporting young people locally.
TVTF is now building carefully on that first pilot, with support starting to move into regular tennis and padel activity during the autumn term.
The Foundation will continue working with local clubs, coaches and activity providers to help remove financial barriers where possible.

Clubs, coaches and community contacts can also help by signposting families who may benefit from support.

TVTF is a new charity and relies on funding, donations and local support to continue developing its work.
Donations help the Foundation provide practical help for young people who may otherwise find it difficult to access tennis and padel opportunities.
